Michael Klein received both his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology (magna cum laude) and his Masters of Business Administration with honors in Health Care Management from Boston University. He previously worked as the Chief Operating Officer for Sholom Community Alliance, a multi-site senior housing organization.
Mr. Klein has been managing senior long term care organizations for over 30 years. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Jewish Aging Services and is a board member of Leading Age Colorado. He is also a recipient of the Dr. Herb Shore Young Executive Award (1998) and the Sorkin Jewish Communal Professional Achievement Award (2009). Mr. Klein is a runner and is an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Tracy Kapaun received her Bachelors of Science in Health and Physical Education. Ms. Kapaun has worked at Kavod since 1997, serving as the Assisted Living Program Director and Resident Services Director before becoming the Chief Operating Officer. She also served on the Colorado Department of Health’s Informal Dispute Resolution Committee.
Ms. Kapaun has Personal Care Boarding Home and ACF (Alternative Care Facilities Program) certifications. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, she oversees Dining Services, Housekeeping, Social Services, Activities and Facilities, which have all seen significant growth in her tenure. She is a resident favorite and can often be found in communal areas listening to their stories.
Michael Belieu holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Regis University with an emphasis in Finance. He has over 20 years of accounting management experience in the nonprofit, construction and property management industries. As Kavod’s Chief Financial Officer, Mike oversees all accounting, information technology and leasing functions for the organization.
Mike enjoys volunteering for local nonprofits and spending time in the outdoors.
Christie Ziegler has a Bachelors degree in Communication from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) and a Masters degree in Communication from the University of Arizona.
Ms. Ziegler comes to Kavod with over 17 years working in the areas of communications, event planning, grant writing and community relations. She also has extensive training in leadership, marketing and volunteer management. Ms. Ziegler loves living in Colorado and enjoys Denver’s restaurants, theaters and cultural activities.
Jennifer Grant received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Metro State University of Denver. She has worked in the senior service industry since 1998, and joined Kavod in 2007.
Ms. Grant has multiple certifications, including: Denver Fire Department as a Healthcare Safety Coordinator through the City and Country of Denver, Professional Advancement Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, 30 Hour Assisted Living Resident Care Management ALF/ALR, Certificate in Dementia Care from the Alzheimer’s Association, and Standard First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor training from the American Red Cross.
Christine Dewhurst received her Masters of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University. Ms. Dewhurst joined Kavod in 2007.
She has 15 years experience in employee relations, recruitment, training & development, compensation, benefits, and workers’ compensation. Ms. Dewhurst has served on the Education Committee at Colorado Culture Change Coalition (CCCC) and is an active member of the Colorado Human Resources Association (CHRA) and is PHR certified through the HR Certification Institute.
Gaile Weisbly Waldinger received an MA in Gerontology from University of Northern Colorado and a BA from the University of Houston. Ms. Weisbly Waldinger was served as the director of employment for Jewish Family Service of Colorado, the senior director of self-sufficiency for Mile High United Way, and has worked as a consultant for United Way Worldwide.
She has also served on the board of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame and Hillel of Colorado. She a graduate of Leadership Aurora, and also serves as adjunct faculty for the Regis University Non-Profit Management program. She is an avid golfer and enjoys the array of cultural activities available in Denver.
