  • Part-Time Overnight QMAP/ADLCare Partner

    We are currently seeking a compassionate and attentive Part-Time Overnight QMAP/ADLCare Partner to join our Assisted Living team. Care Partners monitor daily status of residents and execute individualized resident care plans. Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, laundry, and medication administration. A home-like environment that enhances independence and quality of life. We are a small assisted living with 26 apartments.

    QMAP certification is required. Reliability is a must. English language skills required. Local candidates only.

    Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 10:00pm-6:15am

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Monitors daily status of residents and execute individualized resident care plans. Keeps Director of Assisted Living informed of progress, problems, and changes in resident behavior and/or functioning.

    • Provides non-scheduled cleaning of residents’ apartments on a PRN basis during times housekeeper is not available.

    • Provides assistance with residents’ linens, laundry and ironing.

    • Provides assistance with residents’ bathing, grooming and hair care. This assistance is unique to each resident and determined through the Individual Resident Care Plan.

    • Provides monitoring of residents’ medication routine as specified by State regulations and Kavod Assisted Living medication policies and procedures.

    • Provides assistance for residents with dressing and undressing as determined through the Individual Resident Care Plan.

    • Provides encouragement and guidance for residents’ development of self-care capabilities and personal hygiene, as needed. Assists with AL meals to assure a pleasurable dining experience for residents; i.e. assist residents to make food choices, help serve, cut up food.

    • Escorts residents to meals and building activities, as needed. Personal and physical assistance such as lifting, transferring, or carrying will not be done by staff.

    • Provides regular contact checks and reassurance for residents and document anything out of the ordinary.

    • Maintains a positive attitude with residents, families and community members to ensure the agency standards for good service are achieved.

    • Provides other non-medical services as deemed appropriate to assist residents in regaining and retaining independence from a physical setback.

    • Works with the Assisted Living team and agency staff to assist with special projects.

    • Responds to resident emergencies by following Kavod’s Resident Emergency Procedures & Guidelines.

    • Performs additional agency custodial services as designated by the Director of Assisted Living.

    • Attends monthly staff meetings as scheduled by the Director of Assisted Living and/or Kavod’s Management team.

    • Assists and/or facilitates AL activities as assigned by the Director of Assisted Living.

    • Encourages residents to attend activities.

    • Completes necessary training for Assisted Living staff required by the various regulating agencies on a timely basis.

    • Avails him/herself to work back up for fellow workers.

    • Complies with all HIIPA and CDPHE regulations regarding the rights of the residents and the organization to confidentiality. Information of the agency and the residents should never be given out except through normal channels and with appropriate authorization.

    Job Requirements:
    Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and he/she must read, write and speak English. Fulfillment of all training and other regulatory requirements (i.e. QMAP certification, First Aid/CPR training). Experience providing personal care and housekeeping for elderly and/or certified nurse’s aide training is helpful, but not required.

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or smell. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance.

    • Perform carpet shampoo as scheduled by supervisor.

    • Perform tasks that are required to allow the complex to function on a day‑to‑day basis, emptying wastebaskets, transporting trash and waste to disposal area. Perform exterior grounds cleanup 3 times per week.
