Resident Care Coordinators

Kavod Senior Living has three full-time Resident Care Coordinators who act to empower residents to live independently for as long as possible. Resident Care Coordinators provide assistance with signing up for government programs and benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, community resources and homemaker services.

Our Resident Care Coordinators also act as a liaison with family members, as well as outside agencies such as hospitals, nursing homes, or case managers to ensure residents have adequate support in their lives to meet their social, psychological and physical needs. Additionally, they provide educational and support groups on issues related to aging. Resident Care Coordinators meet with residents regularly. For additional information, please see our Care Coordinator Brochure.

Dining Program

We offer a Kosher-style menu, which includes both dairy and meat days. Kosher meals are available upon request. Our residents feel that participating in the food program is a very special part of their living experience at Kavod. It is a welcomed time to meet neighbors and create new friendships in a social atmosphere.

The Kavod Dining Program serves dinner for residents Monday through Friday in the main dining room beginning at 4 pm. A brunch is served on Sunday.

The menu features a main entrée with several alternate choices. The main dishes, soups, desserts, breads, and rolls are prepared fresh daily by our chefs and bakers. Holidays, as well as monthly birthday parties, are celebrated with special menus in our dining room. A registered dietitian ensures special dietary needs are met.

The dining program is mandatory for residents. We believe that good nutrition is the basis for healthy living and aging. The best way to ensure that our residents are eating well is to provide balanced meals. In addition to a registered dietitian creating the menu offerings, specialty computer programs are used to check the nutritional value of each meal. The dining rooms brings together our residents and facilitates a welcoming social environment.
