Kavod on the Road Goes Virtual!

Kavod on the Road Coffee Klatch
Tuesday, June 9 | 11:00 to 11:30 am | Zoom Link

Join us for 30 minutes of lively conversation and kibbitzing with your Kavod on the Road friends. As we get together via Zoom, grab your favorite mug, fill it with tea or coffee and tell us why it is special to you. Let’s explore fun ways to learn more about each other.

We are All in This Together: Uplifting and Connecting our Souls Through Virtual Music & Art
Wednesday, June 17 | 1:00 to 2:00 pm | Zoom Link

Join Rabbi Steve, Kavod’s Chaplain, as we watch clips from some of the music and arts that have lifted spirits during the pandemic. What is it about the performing arts, storytelling and poetry (even on our small screens) that makes us cry and brings us such joy? And how is this reflective of Jewish wisdom from the sages?

Coping and Finding Meaning/Purpose in the Age of COVID-19
Thursday, June 25 | 11:00 to 12:00 pm | Zoom Link

Watch the video (at your leisure) by Jamie Sarche, Director of Preplanning at Feldman Mortuary, and then join Jamie for a Zoom meeting to continue the conversation around coping, grieving, practicing self-care and finding ways to maintain a connection as we embrace this new normal.

Kavod in the City

Kavod in the City provides educational and life-enriching programming to low-income senior residents of three Denver Housing Authority (DHA) buildings: Barney Ford Heights, North Lincoln Midrise and Walsh Manor Apartments. Successful programming increases community engagement and mental stimulation and reduces social isolation, anxiety and depression among DHA residents.
