Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm, training will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. 
This assignment is anticipated to continue for 6 to 8 weeks; however, it may end at any time, with or without notice, depending on business and operational needs.                

Job Summary: Perform routine maintenance that is essential to the appearance and continuous upkeep of the complex and assigned areas under the direction of facilities management.

Job Requirements: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and other work areas.
    • Perform carpet shampoo as scheduled by supervisor.
    • Clean vacant unit apartments, as assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsible for upkeep and control of custodial supplies in assigned closet.
    • Assist with building and grounds maintenance upon request of supervisor.
    • Perform tasks that are required to allow the complex to function on a day‑to‑day basis, emptying wastebaskets, transporting trash and waste to disposal area. Perform exterior grounds cleanup 3 times per week.

SCHEDULE: 30 hours a week, between Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

SUMMARY:  The Part Time Leasing Assistant performs leasing functions for Kavod Senior Life in accordance with HUD guidelines, all Federal and State laws, and Kavod policies & procedures. Provides support to Director of Leasing and Admin, Leasing Coordinator and Certification Specialist as appropriate. The Leasing Assistant reports directly to Director of Leasing and Admin.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Field incoming phone calls, online and email inquiries of interest about Kavod Senior Life.

Accept new applications, adding a date & time stamp received; carrying out the application processing and screening for accuracy per admissions procedures, including verification of documentation. Follow up with applicant until completed application and all required documentation is obtained. Add applicant information to Yardi and the Prospective Residents and Wait Lists. Maintain Yardi and the Prospective Residents and Wait Lists in compliance with Kavod Resident Selection and Occupancy Plan (RSP) and HUD/Fair Housing programs and requirements.

Field Wait List inquiries and update the list with detailed notes.

Process applicants at the top of the Wait List; call applicant to notify them and request any additional information needed to complete move-in certification as needed; run background, credit, and landlord checks. Process all applicant rejections according to RSP and Kavod procedures. Give paperwork to Leasing Coordinator to begin move-in orientation process. Run Existing Tenant report. Run Immigration Status report as needed. Run 90-days reports for all new move-ins.

Assist Certification Specialist with recertification, apartment inspections and 50059 signings as needed.

Assist with tours, filing, front desk coverage, and other projects as needed.

Assist with training of new leasing department staff as needed.

Alert Resident Care Coordinators of concerns regarding personal or social tenant problems that arise that are not of a leasing nature. Concerns are communicated through memos and copies maintained in the tenant file.

Keep current on all updates and changes in HUD and Fair Housing programs and requirements. 

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bi-lingual skills preferred (Russian/English).

COMPUTER SKILLS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Cornerstone leasing software; Microsoft Outlook contact management systems; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

SUMMARY: Support the life enrichment department in providing desired programming to Kavod Senior Life residents in order to meet their social, cultural, recreational, physical and educational needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

      • Work with the Director of Life Enrichment to plan and implement activities and programs with an emphasis on activities for the Assisted Living (AL) residents.
      • Develop, lead, organize, coordinate and/or oversee a variety of classes and events in areas of interest to the residents. This may include current events, arts and crafts, birthday celebrations, games, entertainment and other activities intended to engage participants in enriching, safe and fun recreation.
      • Actively encourage residents to participate in activities through regular promotion of classes and events using a variety of communication methods.
      • Establish rapport and maintain positive relationships with Kavod residents.
      • Hold monthly What’s Happening meetings with the AL residents to share information and to learn about what they desire for future trips, classes and activities.
      • Provide reminders and assist with gathering AL residents for trips and activities.
      • Assist in the planning and creation of the monthly Assisted Living Voice newsletter and Calendar. Assist with proofing the monthly newsletters and calendars for AL. Create and distribute flyers.
      • Assist with weekend and evening programming for the Assisted Living residents, such as evening Happy Hour, Painting with Polly, movie nights and evening outings.
      • Gather sign-in activity sheets for AL programs, events and outings.
      • Assist with catering and room setup requests for activities and events. Perform room setups as needed.
      • Adhere to established deadlines and budget requirements of the department.
      • Support or assist with occasional SL activities as needed.
      • Data entry of activities in ActivityPro
      • Responsible for assisting Life Enrichment Lead Driver and staff on outings as assigned by the Director of Life Enrichment.
      • After driving school training, can drive 10 passenger van for regularly scheduled routes and planned outings, including trips to concerts, grocery stores, restaurants, museums, etc., and community events. Operates the wheelchair lift when necessary.
      • Assist residents with boarding and departing the van, check-in of residents as they board the van, assist with carrying groceries for residents, ensure residents are properly buckled in their seats, safely escort residents on outings as directed, and providing assistance as needed. Ensure all walkers and wheelchairs are safely secured and are strapped according to DOT regulations.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Working knowledge of MS Office platforms (Word, Excel, Outlook)

3. Understanding of educational and recreational needs of seniors in order to sustain and enhance the quality of life for our residents

SUMMARY: The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Marketing department by meeting with external stakeholders to promote Kavod Senior Life. The primary function of this position is managing the Kavod on the Road program, which involves the development, coordination and promotion of recreational, cultural, physical and educational programs, both large and small, to older adults in the greater community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Program Coordination: 

      • Leads the development, coordination, and promotion of 60-75 educational, social and entertaining programs during a calendar year that serve older, non-residents living in the greater Denver community.
      • Operates programs in partnerships with area synagogues, community centers, and other organizations where such programming benefits older congregants or older adults. 
      • Collaborates with partners for the implementation of above listed programs; works to maintain partnerships and bring in new ones annually.
      • Develops appropriate relationships with older community members who participate in Kavod on the Road to encourage their participation, engagement and satisfaction with outreach activities. 
      • Seeks creative content that engages constituents and draws new ones, with a goal to increase attendance by 10% annually (subject to change) and expand the program footprint within the community,
      • Coordinates Kavod on the Road online and print publications, including collecting and finalizing program details and descriptions. Works with Marketing Coordinator to produce materials; keeps track of deadlines and ensures on-time delivery.
      • Recruits and manages volunteer help from constituents or external sources to support individual program management, such as registration.

Event Coordination and Support:

      • Leads and coordinates an annual educational one-day conference for older adults in collaboration with the planning partners, including elements such as site selection, keynote speaker, workshops presenters, resource fair, food, logistics, materials, swag and event communications, among other duties.
      • Supports efforts to increase fundraising and expand donor prospects, including targeted events and grant-led programs pertaining to role and appropriate audiences.

Community Relations:

      • Consistently promotes a positive image of the organization in the community; serves as Kavod ambassador within the greater community. 
      • Works to heighten awareness of Kavod Senior Life and overall mission, expanding Kavod’s presence beyond the agency’s main campus.
      • Participates in various community meetings in developing and implementing new programming as necessary.
      • Works in collaboration with the internal Kavod Life Enrichment Department to share program ideas, program providers and internal/external program coordination. Handles transportation needs and provides calendar synchronicity with Life Enrichment.
      • Attends networking events in the community to promote the organization as well as the outreach program.

Marketing

      • Connects Kavod on the Road participants with Kavod Senior Life through ongoing promotion of campus happenings, tour invitations and housing availability.
      • Participates with the Marketing team to promote the Kavod brand within the Denver community and within the Denver senior community.
      • Assists with tasks such as social networking posts, event photography, newsletter article submissions, blogs, proofreading, video production, swag ordering and other duties.

Administrative and Finance

      • Manages database of outreach events, including partnership details, registrants, event logistics and other information. Pulls data and reports as needed to help measure program outcomes. Keeps information up to date and accurate.
      • Handles partner payments, conference sponsorships, program payments and program donations. Works with Accounting to record, process and receipt appropriately.
      • Works with external consultants as needed for tech support and other problem solving needs.

Must possess and maintain an active Colorado driver’s license and provide proof of insurance. Familiarity with the Jewish community a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in coordinating activities/programs and working with diverse groups; possess computer skills including, but not limited to database management, online adaptability and word processing; have basic knowledge of Jewish customs and holidays; and strong written and oral communication skills are imperative.  He/she must enjoy working with older adults; be self-directed and comfortable working independently, perform a wide variety of tasks at the same time; and be detail oriented. The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret agency memorandums, policies and procedures, human service journals, financial reports, and related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from residents, families, community members or staff. Ability to write articles for publications and program advertisements that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to write and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

SUMMARY:  Kavod seeks a Care Partner to join our assisted living team. QMAP certification is preferred. Reliability is a must. We are currently seeking a compassionate and attentive Part-Time Care Partner to join our team. This position is key in supporting our residents with the care they need to accomplish their activities of daily living. Assistance with dressing, personal grooming, bathing and/or assistance during meal times are essential functions of the role. English language skills required.

On-Call mornings/days/evenings

On-Call QMAP overnight shifts will receive $1.00/hr for shift differential.
